Career Week at the Euro Akademie Hannover

In the first week after the autumn holidays in Lower Saxony, all students of the training programme "Certified Commercial Assistant, Foreign Languages and Correspondence" and the programme "International Business Communication" spent a Career Week looking for an internship, possible study options and career prospects.

To this end, the Euro Akademie Hannover invited external speakers to give presentations and organise small workshops. These events were embedded in the European Vocational Skills Week, which took place during the autumn holidays from 14 to 18 October 2019.

Portal esojob

Even at the beginning of their training, many students are already thinking about their professional future and have to face fears and uncertainties. Dealing with the job market and possible job opportunities at an early stage reduces the fear of the professional future.

The Euro Akademie has therefore expressly committed itself to the topics of vocational orientation and career entry and uses the closed portal esojob for this purpose. The portal is a valuable tool for orientation in an increasingly complex job market and for finding suitable companies for internships and career entry.

Michael Melching from the ESO Education Group introduced the class to the portal in the first year of training and practiced with the students how to use job portals and search terms. Together with esojob at the Euro Akademie Hannover, Michael Melching is a permanent member of the career orientation and commercial assistant training department.

Job profile marketing manager

The students of Denis Brunschede, Benedikt Stövesand and Patrick Wintter from the Marketing & Sales Team of the ESO Education Group learned a lot about the tasks and requirements of a marketing manager.

In the run-up to the internal ESO Marketing Workshop at the Hanover location, all three gave interesting insights into the various entry possibilities into the professional field of marketing and inspired the students with their vivid, practical explanations.

Bachelor Top-up at the ECBM

Last but not least, Stefanie Graff informed about the part-time study programme at the European College for Business and Management as an alternative to full-time studies.

The course of study, based on the blended learning concept, lasts three semesters in total and includes attendance appointments in Berlin and London. The weekend seminars in Berlin take place at the Euro Academy there.

"It is always important to examine alternatives and to consider more than one university for a course of study," says Anja Nagel, head of the Euro Akademie Hannover and responsible for the Euro Akademie institute's university partners within the ESO Education Group.

The Euro Akademie Hannover would like to thank all speakers for their successful contributions to the Career Week and is looking forward to seeing you again!
