Marshmallow Challenge 3
After two years of fun (and a few wobbly towers), it was finally FSK20’s turn to take on the legendary Marshmallow Challenge! The mission: build the tallest free-standing structure possible using nothing but spaghetti, tape, string…and of course, a marshmallow on top.
This year’s winning tower might have been the shortest one yet—but hey, in this challenge, something is always better than nothing! 🎉 Afterwards, the class dove deeper by watching Tom Wujec’s TED Talk, learning why this playful activity is actually a powerful lesson in teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Something new: Blind Origami
Next up, the class tried something completely different (and a little mind-bending): Blind Origami. Working in pairs, one person had the instructions, the other had the paper—but here’s the twist: the builder had no clue what they were making! The only way forward? Crystal-clear communication. Every fold, every crease depended on how well the “instructor” explained—and how well the “builder” listened. It was the perfect test of how easily a message can change between sender and receiver… and the results? A collection of wonderfully weird and creative origami masterpieces!
